Welcome to Shikano lab.
Speech and acoustics are the most intuitive and familiar media for human communication. We are studying information processing of speech and acoustic signals, to realize effective usage of speech in multi-modal interface, sound speech problems in networks communications, sound effects in multi-media paradigm, and speech sound applications in real world.
Our research activities spreads on various fields relating human speech: speech recognition, speech synthesis, sound field reproduction and speech communication. We mainly focus on man-machine communication via speech-oriented multi-modal interaction, and sound environment control for virtual sound reproduction.
Our laboratory also joins Keihanna Joint Graduate School, as a part of Universal Interactive Agent Lab.
